QuARC
A Hands-on Workshop on Quantum Compilation &Transpilation
About QuARC
Hosted by the Quantum Computing Student Association at UCLA.
QuARC (Quantum Architecture, Rewiring, and Compilation) is a flagship workshop hosted by the Quantum Computing Student Association at UCLA in Fall 2025. The event brings together leading companies and academic groups for a mix of in-depth lectures, hands-on workshops, and hackathon-style challenges. Whether you’re a researcher, developer, or curious newcomer, QuARC offers opportunities to learn, collaborate, and push the boundaries of quantum computing.
Event Structure
-
Lectures
Invited talk by leading researchers in the field on recent advances and future directions.
-
Workshops
In-depth hands-on workshops to convey proficiency in industrial software.
-
Challenge
Similar to a hackathon, participants will be given the option to work on a set of preset challenges in teams, where a prize can be won for exceptional performance.

FAQs

Yes, we will do our best to make sure that the workshops are also available for the online participants. We will make any code available to online participants for the duration of the week of the workshop.
-
The lectures will be recorded and made available for all of the registrants of the workshop during and after the event. We will try to provide code or notebooks for an asynchronous follow-along. However, we can only promise that the event’s hands-on workshops will be fully functional for the duration of the workshop, as we cannot make computational resources available indefinitely.

Yes, we have received your payment. Squarespace is just being strange. For some reason it displays this for everyone.

Don’t worry! If you are already familiar with the basics of quantum computing, compilation, and transpilation, we will host an advanced lecture & challenge at the start of the workshop for you to work on until the difficulty ramps up. Alternatively, if you are only just starting with quantum computing, compilation, or transpilation, we will release an introductory challenge on the later days for you to work on.
